The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has acceded to the Hague Convention in 1965. After returning to the motherland on July 1, 1997, China recognized the validity of the Hague Convention in Hong Kong. Apostille documents can be used directly in more than 100 countries around the world. The legalization of documents in Hong Kong is handled by the High Court, and the Registrar of the High Court is responsible for issuing Apostille documents. Once the document is authenticated, it is stamped with an Apostille style stamp.
The mark of Hague certification is a square additional certificate (ie note), and the text on the note is printed in the official language of the issuing organization. It must be written "Apostille" in French to indicate the validity of the affidavit. Apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature and the identity of the person who signed the document. Each apostille document (including the date of issue and serial number) will be registered and managed by the responsible department, and the additional certificate will be issued by the department designated by the contracting state/region.
